Rockola 488

Having a problem with machine, has been working ok for a number of years and the other day when I made a selection, it selected, record was placed on turntable, tone arm advanced to start of record but now no music can be heard and the record will not reject, the fuse on the mechanism control pcb was blown and I replaced, but no difference. I switched machine off and manually turned gripper motor to return record to record basket, switched machine on but the record I returned to the basket is picked up and put on turntable and will not carry out reverse process. Has anyone come across this problem with a rockola 488 or with this similar type of machine
