alternatives Tonsystem für Tonmaster

hallo, bräuchte einmal eure Hilfe. Habe eine Tonmaster wieder zum laufen gebracht jedoch ist der Klang nicht so prickeld. Verstärker soweit alles gut - meine Frage: gibt es eine alternative zum verbauten Tonsysten Schuhmann Merula msk 461 ?
Auch wenn ich es einpassen muß notfalls wenn auch nicht schön mit Silikon fixiere. Es nützt mit nichts wenn es original ist aber der Klang dafür schrecklich. Bin für jeden Ratschlag dankbar.

Hallo Tomes,ich würde auf keinen Fall das Gerät verbasteln,es gibt Firmen die solche Systeme wieder instand setzten. Meine Erfahrung damit ist da sehr gut.Für ca.70€ hast du das System wieder betriebsbereit.Wenn du eine Adresse brauchst,melde dich einfach bei mir.Schöne Grüße aus dem Spessart,Michael Gombert.

ich möchte mich Michael anschließen. Die Tonmaster war eine unserer ersten Musikboxen und mir laufen heute noch Schauer über den Rücken, wenn ich vor der kleinen Kiste stehe und höre, wie gut sie klingen kann - mit dem originalen System. Wiegandt hätte diese Musikbox nicht so gut verkaufen können, wenn sie nicht gut klingen würde.
Es ist möglich, sie auf andere Systeme (sogar Magnetsysteme) umzubauen - empfehlen würde ich es aber nicht. Die verbauten Komponenten wie Verstärker und Lautsprecher sind sicher nicht "High End" - machen ihren Job aber sehr gut.

Ich habe auch schon mal ein Originalsystem reparieren lassen, hat aber nur etwa ein Jahr gehalten.
Das "olle" Keramiksystem von NSM läßt sich recht einfach integrieren (ohne Änderungen am Verstärker), klingt gut und hält bei mir schon seit 7 Jahren,

Working on my second Tonmaster for the last 2 months.
Came with a ceramic cartridge which according to what I found on this forum is the only right one, see picture.
As for the rest : this juke was a F#%* mess

My first one is completely original , with the crystal cartridge
But ofcourse the crystal element was deteriorated , see picture
Had it restored by a company in Germany ( €49.10 ex tax and postage )

Sound is perfect !!!!

In my spare time working on the mechanism , close to finishing it.
I noticed yours is connected to the second hole of the tone arm
I quess this corresponds with needle position of the original cartridge ? ( mine was set on the first before I took it apart )

Something I found rather strange when I took apart:
The cartridge has 2 pins , suggesting its a mono cartridge , but for some reason the previous owner also made a connection from 1 pin to the housing/tone arm .
Whats the use of that ?

A somewhat better picture to show what I mean.
As far as I know a cartridge , whatever type , creates its own voltage by movement of the element through the movement of the needle on the record.

The picture shows a system which was in use at many NSM-models. Of course there are also some monophonic systems.
The Shells come with the nema DB100 ( Mono) and DB200 (stereo) of course you can user both types but the you ahve to connect both pins with the cable: GROUND instead ist connectet with the house of the ceramic.system!

4 different systems
left to right : crystal - ceramic -magnetic - cobra
all made of non conductive material
no need for grounding
