Hi . Have some probs. With tonearm. Upp and Down is smooth and feels ligth.. sideways its very slow no good movement sideways. Any advicewhat to do?

I suspect that the cam follower plate touches the cam and affects the horizontal movement of the tonearm.

The cam that moves the tone arm has a flattened section to lower the tone arm. This flat point must be parallel to the cam follower plate when the record is playing. This must be set before other tone arm settings are made. The setting is made by moving the transfer motor forward or backward. If the motor must be moved, then the Camshaft switches have to be re-adjusted.

Then adjust the tone arm height so that a distance of about 0.5 to 1 millimeter is created between the cam and the cam follower plate. Care must be taken to ensure that there is no excess grease on the cam follower plate, bridging the distance to the cam. The adjustment is made by twisting the Allen screw above the tonearm axis.
