Rock ola 1455 D help

Hi everybody, first time posting. Restoring a rock ola 1455 d that has been in family for over 50 yrs. I have both the service & parts manuals and I'm very familiar with the mechanics of operation. I'm having trouble figuring out why the cancellation pin will not go back to center. I've removed the magazine cartridge and cleaned both odd & even cancel plungers. Also pulled the #3 micro switch on the micro cam. Checked out fine but replaced and adjusted to be sure. Could it be the small coils on the rotating cartridge ? Any help would be grateful.

Hi Greg,

The cancellation pins are pushed back by little pressure springs. Maybe these springs are missing? Caution: the springs have to be mounted in correct direction below the Plunger.

Correct, the springs face towards the pins/ plunger up. I noticed the ends were soldered together. Do u out think this would cause them not to work. Thanks
