AMI J Selection Problems

I'm having ongoing problems with selections. Model is JBK-120

I have had the pulse converter recently rebuilt + 3 homing contact switches replaced. The man who worked on the converter tested it 300 times without failure. When I got it back, I installed it and it still fails 20% of the time. Is it the pulse generator at fault?

It really likes to select F1. For example: I select c16 and it selects F1. I select D12 and it selects F1. Other than that, It is only the letter selections that are wrong. The numbers are always correct. For example: I select C1, but it selects A1 instead. I estimate it correctly selects 80% of the time

Any advice would be appreciated.
